 Maudacher Bruch

Ich nehme euch mit auf einen Spaziergang im Maudacher Bruch. Er ist nicht weit entfernt von meiner Wohnung und immer einen Besuch wert. * I am taking you with me on a walk at Maudacher Bruch. It is not far from my apartment and always worth a visit.

Bis vor ein paar Jahren wusste ich gar nicht, dass es in Ludwigshafen eine kleine Berg gibt, der in den 50er Jahren aus einer Schutthalde entstand und daher den Beinamen "Monte Scherbelino" trägt. Der richtige Name ist allerdings Michaelsberg. * Until a few years ago I had no idea that Ludwigshafen had a small hill that developed from a refuse dump in the 50s and therefore has the nickname "Monte Scherbelino". The correct name is Michaelsberg though. 

Ich liebe die Wege durch den Bruch, bei denen viele durch den dichten Wald fast wie Tunnel anmuten. * I love the ways through the Bruch that often look nearly like tunnels due to the dense forest.

Wenn man mit offenen Augen spazieren geht, sieht man am Wegesrand viele schöne Dinge, die einen zweiten Blick wert sind. * When walking around with open eyes you can find a lot of beautiful things at the wayside that are worth a closer look.

Ein wenig versteckt, saß eine wunderschöne rote Libelle auf einem Holzbalken. * A bit hidden a beautiful red dragonfly sat on a wooden beam.

Direkt am Ufer des Sees findet man auch tolle Eindrücke. Ich habe übrigens keine Ahnung, was diese Wasserblasen verursacht hat. Sie stiegen einfach so vom Grund auf. * Directly at the lakeshore you can also find great impressions. By the way, I have no idea what caused those water bubbles. They just rose like that from the bottom.

Interessanterweise gibt es um den See herum nicht nur Nistkästen für Vögel, sondern auch für Fledermäuse, was ich richtig toll finde. * Interestingly there are not only nesting boxes for birds around the lake but also for bats which I really like.
